You are invited to use this temporary thread to chat while our Harry Potter Lexicon Forum is down. I do not know what is wrong at World Crossing and I do not know when our Lexicon Forum will be back in operation.
While here, you are welcome to enjoy the threads here. You will find that the regulars on this forum are a very friendly bunch with a wide variety of interests. Maybe some of the regulars can share with each of you what is available here. Enjoy!

Hello, wasn't able to get to main forum (on wc6) or this one (on wc1) in the past 30 minutes or so. That coinsides with about the time of the last post on the chat thread there.
The Main forum (http://wc6.worldcrossing.com/webx?14@@.ef4d335) is now working, for me at least.

I seem to be having difficulty getting to our main forum. I feel like I've come to the dusty, forgotten #12 G.P.
The quite is unnerving. Off to try again. If I return before I get back, please tell me to wait here for my to return.

I'm having trouble with both this and the other forum. Sometimes I get on, the next minute I don't. I'm trying to read a story but the connection won't let me continue

Seems that two of the seven worldcrossing servers (wc2 and wc6) are not responding. That means our main forum is unavailable.
I used the following post on the fan fiction forum to check the WC server response status.

I'm not able to access the main forum today. Had a few difficulties last night. But I seem to be electronically challenged recently. I bought "Miracle on 34th Street" on DVD, the colorized version doesn't work, but the black and white version works.

Audrey left me a message saying the same thing. It must have been during the day, when I was at school. I was in the other night, and when I tried to move to another thread, I got the "can't connect to server" message. However, as soon as I shut down and rebooted, it was fine. I think that was Wednesday evening.
Sorry about the dust, John ... I'll send my house cleaner over next time she is here! 
Why would you want to watch the colorized version of Miracle on 34th Street? I guess I'm a classic movie purist ... I like them in the B&W format. Colorization always reminds me of those old sepia photos that someone has tried to color.

Can't you log in either, legolas? I wonder whether anybody joins us here. Hopefully somebody's posting in the games threads. A Sunday is no Sunday without the forum.
Nothing much to tell. I'm couch potatoing. "Lounging", do you say so? I'm trying to type up some short stories for a reading but I'm changing words all the time and generally I don't like them any more very much. Self criticism is something which sets in later and then with full force. For lunch the family with two little children ate in a cheap pizzeria where they were very tolerant and nice even though the milk bottle fell over when we left. That's a nice place to go even though it's a bit decrepit. I don't mind decrepit. It doesn't even have to be picturesque. Just decrepit is pleasant.

I can't log in either.
I have been in doing overtime today. Nearly 10 hours worth. I thought it would never end. 7.30 start on a Sunday morning is not something I enjoy doing but its worth a few pennies (Doubletime-Yeah!). All my experiments have shown that a lot more work needs to be done to perfect things.
I have also been to the gym for a workout. Poor legs are wobbily.
So now its HP time. *Pout* the forum is down.

Several of the servers on WX are down right now. Server 6 (where the Forum is) is currently down. Right now, I can only get on Server 0 and Server 1.

Oh, I thought maybe it was just me ... and then I opened the Lexicon and the FanFic forums, and they are fine. Perhaps I should do some work ... or maybe take a nap! Yes, a nap sounds fine.
