** Participant Status on This FanFiction Forum

To: Any Member Who Wants to Post On the Harry Potter Lexicon FanFiction Forum:

1. You will need to have Participant status to post.

2. To secure Participant status here (the Harry Potter Lexicon FanFiction Forum), you need to notify our Hosts of your desire so that one of them can move your username from the Read Only list there to the Participant list there. This move action can only be accomplished by one of our Hosts. Remember, the operations and standards on the FanFiction Forum are the same as those on the Harry Potter Lexicon Forum and both are Private Forums.

3. Once your username has been moved, you should be able to add messages to the threads there as long as you post a new message there as least every 180 days or less under normal conditions.

4. Normal conditions can be affected by problems at World Crossing or when the sysops rebuild the data base at the Forums.

Some additional trival information: In the past, when a member first requested Participant status on the Harry Potter Lexicon Forums, I would always immediately add (or move from the Read Only list) the username of the new member to the FanFiction Forum's Participant list. However, when the current sync problems began over a year ago (and are still not corrected), my ability to do that username addition action was no longer available.

I was able to move some usernames occasionally from the Read Only list to the Participant list there and some usernames, which were "grandfathered in" before the sync problems began, have somehow (luckily and that could change at any time) avoided change in their status.

I would strongly suggest that you check Your forums on a regular basis to see if you are subscribed to the Harry Potter Lexicon FanFiction Forum. If you are not, please go to the FanFiction Forum and subscribe so that your username will be in the member lists. If you are unable to post and would like that privilege, please either send me an email at kipc@iglide.net or post a message to the thread, # Questions for the Host(s), on the main Lexicon Forum requesting Participant status on the FanFiction Forum.
